We moved to Celebration from Ann Arbor, Michigan,
home of one of the best medical schools in the country. We had been
used to having highly competent professionals close at hand if we
needed them. Consequently, one of our reservations about moving
to central Florida had been finding reliable, skilled physicians
if we needed them. I had resigned myself to the possibility that
I’d return to the University of Michigan for periodic check-ups
and any critical procedures.
Finding Dr. Scelfo has changed all that. It’s reassuring to
know that there’s a highly capable doctor right here in town,
one who is familiar with our entire medical histories and conditions,
someone who takes the time to explain things in clear terms that
we can understand. How comforting it is to know that someone competent
is available almost immediately if necessary, without the anxiety
of dealing with impersonal answering services or hearing that the
doctor’s first available appointment is in two weeks. Some
of our friends thought we were kind of wacky to pay an upfront annual
membership fee, but the thorough physical exams, ongoing phone access,
and personal attention are well worth the money.
Dr. Scelfo’s easy manner and reliable accessibility are quite
in harmony with the character of our new home town.
And now our trips back to Ann Arbor won’t have to include
visits to the doctor!
